Philip is highly valued by his clients for his strategic commercial legal advice and for his ability to negotiate and draft complex contractual arrangements. For 16 years prior to founding Laity Morrow, he was a senior partner with a national law firm.
Philip has particular expertise in:
- corporate and project financing;
- public and private major property and infrastructure projects;
- mergers and acquisitions; and
- joint ventures, partnerships, collaborations and other co-ownership structures.
He regularly advises on the structuring and funding of projects and business enterprises, including the preparation and negotiation of strategic agreements between key stakeholders.
Philip’s experience extends across a diverse range of industries including electricity, gas, water, iron ore, steel, rail, health, biotechnology, entertainment and tertiary education. He has acted for both the public sector and the private sector in public private partnerships, major outsourcings, privatisations and the public funding of infrastructure.
Philip is a Masters graduate from the University of Cambridge. He prides himself on his technical legal knowledge and on being able to communicate and use that knowledge in a valuable, meaningful and strategic way for clients.
